About Kularb

Family matters deserve more than a transactional response

We built Kularb around the belief that legal support for families should feel like sitting with someone who genuinely cares — not being processed through a system.

Our Story

How Kularb came to be

Kularb — the Thai word for rose — was chosen as our name with intention. A rose is associated with warmth and care, but also with a certain quietness and dignity. Those are the qualities we wanted this practice to carry into every conversation with every family we work with.

The practice was established in Bangkok by a small group of legal professionals who had each spent years in larger firms and noticed the same thing: families navigating difficult personal situations were often left feeling overwhelmed, uninformed, or rushed. The process moved faster than their understanding of it. They left meetings with more questions than answers.

We set out to do something different. At Kularb, appointments are never double-booked. Explanations are given in plain language, not legal shorthand. And we do not suggest a course of action until the person in front of us feels genuinely ready to consider it.

Our team brings experience across Thai family law — including matters relating to parenting arrangements, property, and the formal processes that sometimes become necessary. But the thing we are most deliberate about is the quality of the listening that comes before any of that.

Mission

What we are here to do

Our mission is to make family legal support in Thailand feel human. We want every person who walks through our door — or writes to us for the first time — to feel that they are being heard by people who take their situation seriously and will explain everything clearly.

Values

The principles we work by

  • Unhurried: We never rush a consultation. You set the pace.
  • Plain language: Legal terms are explained before they are used.
  • Confidential: Your privacy is never a secondary consideration.
  • Family-centred: The wellbeing of the family, especially children, is always central.
  • Honest: We tell you what we can and cannot do, and we don't oversell outcomes.
Our Team

The people you'll speak with

Our team is small by choice. Every client speaks with a senior member of the practice, not a junior assistant.

Our Standards

How we protect the people we work with

These are not just policies — they are the commitments we make to every client before any work begins.

Legal Professional Conduct

All advisers adhere to the ethical standards of the Lawyers Council of Thailand. Our conduct is governed by professional obligations that prioritise the interests of the client.

Strict Confidentiality Protocol

Client information is never shared, discussed externally, or stored beyond what is necessary for the matter at hand. We have clear internal protocols for data handling and document security.

Document Security

Physical files are stored securely on-site. Digital documents are handled using encrypted tools with access restricted to the advisers working on your matter.

Informed Consent at Every Step

We do not proceed to any next stage without your clear understanding and agreement. You will always know what we are doing, why, and what it means for your situation before we continue.

Child Welfare Consideration

In matters involving children, we follow a child-centred approach consistent with Thai family law principles and international best practices for parenting and custody matters.

Ongoing Professional Development

Our advisers participate in continuing professional education to remain current with developments in Thai family law, mediation practice, and client care standards.

Family legal support in Bangkok — thoughtful, experienced, and clear

Kularb offers family legal services from our office on Sathon Road in Bangkok. Our work covers the spectrum of family legal matters — from a first, exploratory conversation to formal representation in proceedings — and our approach throughout is the same: careful, calm, and focused on helping each person understand what is happening and what their options are.

Thai family law has its own particular considerations, and navigating it without proper support can feel isolating. Kularb was founded specifically to address that experience. We do not operate a high-volume practice. We take on a deliberate number of client matters at any one time so that each one receives the attention it deserves.

Whether you are at the very beginning of thinking about a difficult family situation, or you are further along and need experienced representation, Kularb is designed to meet you where you are. The first step — a Family Guidance Meeting — is a private, low-pressure conversation with no obligation attached. Many people find it genuinely helpful simply to understand what Thai law does and does not provide for in a family situation like theirs.

We work in English and Thai, and our team has supported both Thai nationals and international residents living in Bangkok through a range of family matters. If you would like to explore whether we might be right for your situation, we would welcome a quiet conversation.
